- Don't open
attachments you are not sure of. Normal attachments like pictures end
with .gif, .jpg, .bmp, .tiff. Word documents end with .doc and Adobe
Acrobat documents end with .pdf.
- E-mail the person
who sent a suspect attachment in a new message asking about that attachment.
It will not hurt your computer just sitting in your outbox as long as you
don't open the attachment.
- Use a good
antivirus software such as Norton Antivirus, PC Cillen, or McAffee.

Download the tool to remove
the virus you have. Try the

site and "Search" for virus name to read about it and download specific fix
tool to completely remove from your computer.
- Rerun virus scan or
tool after cleaning to insure you are totally clean of infection!
- Sometimes you need
to run multiple scans to completely clean your computer. You may also
need to turn off "System Restore" feature in Windows Me/2000/XP!
